Dan Bergrin

Dan’s passion is working with developers and investors to navigate the complexities of federal and state tax incentives to achieve their goals. For the past decade, Dan has structured and executed dozens of federal and state tax-incentive investments. These include historic rehabilitation tax credits, new markets tax credits, renewable energy tax credits, historic preservation easements, and many others.

Prior to founding Lock 39 Capital, Dan led the structuring and execution of dozens of transactions for a real estate investment firm in Cleveland. In addition, Dan led that firm’s tax credit investment and consulting practice.

A tax attorney by training, but a pragmatist at heart, Dan aims to get deals done as quickly and efficiently as possible, but knows where and when to dig in to the technical side of things. Dan is a regular speaker on the topics of tax credit finance, economic development and opportunity zone investments.

When not deep in tax incentives, Dan spends time with his wife, Jess, his kids, Henry and Sophia, and his dogs, Grady and Ollie.
